Alchemist Update

April was a phenomenal month for the Alchemist ecosystem. Read on to learn what we have been working on.

Merchandise

Alchemist merch has arrived! Alchemist believes the more passionate people who are involved in our community, the better. That is why Alchemist merchandise stores are built and maintained by community members. Anyone and everyone, who is an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial member of the Alchemist community, is welcome to set up a store to share our ecosystem with the world. If a store meets some basic qualifications, the merchants are free to keep revenues earned.

If you are looking to set up a store you can view the available brand artwork here and you can find the listing request form here.

Bi-weekly Community Calls

Each month Alchemist holds two bi-weekly calls that are hosted on Twitter Spaces. Recently a discord vote was held to finalize the time these calls take place. The vote resulted in the call now being held on Thursdays at 7:30pm UTC.

$MIST Buyback Program

A Mist buyback using revenue generated in April took place recently with 20,278 Mist, worth an approximate USD value of $192,000 at the time of the buyback, getting airdropped to ETH-MIST liquidity providers via The Crucible. If you are interested in participating in this rewards program you can check it out here. If you are interested in checking out the Mist buy transactions you can view them here and here, and if you would like to check out the airdrop transaction click here.

Community led Project

Finally, the soon-to-be-announced, community led project, that has been incubating for a while, is undergoing quality assurance testing. Once any issues are resolved from that process, the product will release its alpha version to the community.

Crucible Update

Avalanche Support

Crucible announced this month that their product will be expanding onto the Avalanche Network, allowing users to mint, subscribe, and interact with their Crucibles in a much more cost efficient manner. The team has come to agreement on their vision for the Crucible artwork for Avalanche which will be released sometime over the coming weeks. The artwork will keep the pocket watch inspiration while having some unique differentiators from the current Crucible artwork on Ethereum mainnet.

New features

If you have not seen the explore page for the Crucible recently, now is an opportune time to check it out as there have been a few new features added to the page. These features include:

  • Thumbnail images of Crucibles along with their mint number.
  • The ability to sort Crucibles by newest, oldest, or randomly.
  • The owners address or their Ethereum Name Service name, like quak.eth, while viewing a Crucible.

Token Wrapping

The Crucible team recently introduced the ability to wrap tokens directly within the Crucible platform. This feature helps bridge the gap for protocols to launch reward programs which utilize either native tokens (ETH on Ethereum, AVAX on Avalanche, etc.) or rebasing tokens.

Future Plans

The Crucible team is working on launching on another blockchain which is scheduled to go live very soon. This launch will coincide with the launch of a rewards program on that blockchain. Additionally, the team is working with a few other partners to launch new rewards programs on Avalanche and the soon-to-be supported blockchain.

Super High Resolution Crucibles

Crucible connoisseurs will soon be able to view their Crucible in the full amount of detail that they were designed in. This feature release should be coming out very soon and will enhance the immense beauty the Crucibles already have.

MistX Update

Limit Orders

This month MistX announced that it had completed the integration of limit orders utilizing Gelato Network. While using limit orders, you will be protected from MEV bots, and be able to buy or sell an asset at a specific price. Currently, only Uniswap v2 pools are supported by Gelato Network for limit orders, however the range of pools capable of having limit orders is expected to grow in the near future.

Marketing Support

The MistX team is looking for a passionate, professional, and highly motivated marketing lead. Ongoing tasks as part of the role include social media, content writing, digital engagement strategy and community growth to help expand their reach and user base. Applicants must have relevant experience in the field, be a self-starter, and have the availability to work full-time. If you are interested in applying for the position you can do so here.

Future Plans

  • The team is testing out the integration of Balancer’s liquidity pools with this feature slated to be released in the coming weeks.
  • A new pricing and smart order router is in the works. This router will allow MistX to tap into many new liquidity sources, such as Bancor and Curve.
  • The new smart order router will enable the splitting of orders across new and existing liquidity sources, which will further improve the price a user is able to receive while using MistX.
  • The team is also in discussion with members of the Brave and Tally wallet teams to add native support for their wallets when using MistX.

Copper Update

Expansion onto Avalanche

Copper announced this month that it is planning on expanding its product offering to users on Avalanche. This is the first expansion to a new network from the Copper team outside of the Ethereum ecosystem.

Future Plans

Smart Order Routing

The Copper team is working on integrating Balancer’s most recent smart order routing technology. This will significantly improve the swap functionalities user interface, and enables liquidity sources to become more modular and customizable. The added modularity of this new smart order router will allow for a quicker and easier deployment of Copper on blockchains that host friendly forks of Balancer’s technology.

LBP Host Transparency

Additionally, the Copper team has been working on a system for LBP creators to be able to signal different attributes regarding their reputation. Ideally, this will allow LBP users to better understand the individual or individuals behind a LBP.

Redacted ██████████: 👀

Finally, the Copper team has been working on a game changing new product for a couple months and will continue to work on it over the coming months. This is the beginning of what is likely to become the ██████████████.

Council Update

  • The Council is in the final stages of drafting a tokenomics proposal, which will be shared with the community once complete.
  • Bear or bull, our product teams are always building. To support our builders during various market conditions the council will be releasing a framework of strategies that will enable product teams to continue to sustain regardless of market conditions.
  • One of the goals of the Alchemist ecosystem is to become the largest community run product incubator in the web3 ecosystem. Members of the Council believe that growing the incubation aspect of Alchemist is essential for sustained long-term growth and are committed to helping Alchemist achieve this goal. As part of this process towards achieving this goal, the council is considering applications from projects and setting up structures in place to ensure their success.
